Every year, the City of Langford adopts a Five-year Financial Plan (budget), as required by Provincial Legislation. This Plan reflects Council’s fiscal priorities and the complexity of maintaining and improving services for our growing city. Any time you drive down a road, visit a park or trail, attend a community event, or receive help from emergency services, you’re using a City service. These services are paid for in part by property taxes as well as other sources of revenue, such as permits and user fees.

Developing the budget is a complex multi-step process with the lens of building a safe, affordable, fiscally stable, resilient city for everyone, including future generations.
