Arts and Culture Strategy Development

The City of Langford is creating an exciting new Arts and Culture Strategy. We’ve partnered with Patricia Huntsman Culture + Communication, a leading arts and culture consulting firm, to help shape this important plan.

As one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities, Langford is in a unique position to celebrate creativity and diversity. This strategy will help us grow a strong, vibrant arts and culture scene, one that reflects who we are and welcomes everyone.

The plan will also support Langford’s economy and reputation as a leader in arts and culture across the province. It will guide how we support artists, host events, and create spaces that bring people together through creativity.

At the same time, we’re developing a Placemaking Strategy to make our public spaces more inviting and inspiring. Both strategies will work together to shape Langford’s future.

We want to hear from you! What matters most to you when it comes to arts, culture, and community spaces? We’ll be reaching out through creative activities, surveys, and visioning sessions to gather your ideas.

📣 Stay connected by following the City of Langford on social media and signing up for Let’s Chat Langford to receive updates, share your thoughts, and help shape the future of our city.

🗓️ The Arts and Culture Strategy is expected to be complete by early 2026.

Together, let’s build a creative, inclusive, and inspiring Langford.

*Creative placemaking is a collaborative approach to improving public spaces by using arts, culture, and creativity to reflect community identity, meet local needs, and drive positive change and growth—for example, transforming a vacant lot into a parkette with accessible seating, designed with local artists and residents.
